  • What age do I need to be to apply for a boat or jetski licence in QLD?
    You need to be at least 16 years old to apply for a boat licence and 16 years old to apply for a jetski (PWC) licence in Queensland. Students can start their Online Theory and complete the Practical Training from the age of 15.5yo.
  • Is the boat and jetski licence valid for a certain period, or is it permanent?
    A boat and jetski licence in Queensland are valid for life. However, it's important to keep your contact details updated with the authorities.
  • How long is the boat and jetski licence course, and what does it involve?
    The duration of the course can vary, but it usually takes between 4-8 hours to complete. The course covers essential maritime safety knowledge, rules, and practical skills.
  • Do I need a car licence to get a boat and jetski licence?
    No, you'll get a seperate marine licence in this case.
  • Does this licence restrict me from driving larger vessels?
    No, you can drive any vessel on the water for recretional purposes only, once qualified.

  • What is the refund policy?
    In the event that you are unable to attend the course, and greater than 24 hours' notice is given, your booking and payment can be transferred to another date. In the event that you are unable to attend the course, and less than 24 hours' notice to the scheduled training or assessment start time, a 50% refund will be given. THis is due to challenges being able to offer the spot to others at such short notice. *Vouchers are valid from 12 months from date of purchase. Vouchers are non-refundable. Should the course be cancelled by iLicence, you have the option of transferring to another course, or a full refund. Obtaining a Boat and Jet Ski Licence is not simply an attendance-based course. A student must demonstrate the required skill’s/knowledge to be issued a statement of competency. Failing any part of the course does not entitle a student to a refund.
